Отель расположен в 180 км южнее Коломбо, открыт в январе 2001 г. Береговая линия в Тангале изрезана заливами и небольшими коралловыми лагунами. Среди большого цветущего сада живописно расположились уютные бунгало.
В отеле: 29 номеров: 6 superior - с верандой и 23 шале - с террасой; холл в национальном стиле, 2 ресторана, пиццерия, бар, бизнес-центр, вызов такси, 2 бассейна, водные горки, центр аюрведы, врач по вызову, прачечная, сувенирный магазин, сейф на стойке регистрации. За территорией отеля, песчаный, необорудованный. Шезлонги и тенты имеются у бассейна.

Unfulfilled potential

The setting and scenery are stunning, and the facilities are great (for the reasonable price), although a simple coat of paint would smarten things up a bit. Everything is absolutely fine, and yet..... there is something that's missing, and I don't know what it is! It may have been that we were there towards the end of the season. The staff were helpful and friendly, but seemed like amateurs. It didn't help that very few of them spoke even simple English (the international language, whether you like it or not). Somehow 'the spirit' wasn't there. I think it might be a management problem. Having said that, we left a bracelet behind by mistake, and the Manager took great pains to get it delivered (free) by his driver back to Colombo for us. If only the same energy had been put into realising the full potential of the hotel.

Les chambres (chalets en fait) sont dans un beau parc surplombant une belle petite crique que l'on atteint directement de l'hôtel. Impossible de s'y baigner : trop dangereux. Le parc, les bâtiments en général ne sont pas vraiment entretenus. Ce n'était pas la pleine saison (fin avril) mais on avait quand même l'impression d'être dans un endroit un peu abandonné... L'ensemble a besoin d'une bonne rénovation! Impossible d'avoir des infos sur la région à l'accueil (où il n'y avait pratiquement jamais personne...). Bref, le service est vraiment réduit au strict minimum, ce qui est dommage pour un endroit qui se veut "de luxe"...

We had a very bad experience. This hotel has to be closed . The Sri Lanka Tourist Board Review committee must give action points before they open the hotel to the public.. Leaking chalets roofs. The lobby started leaking during a down pour. When we ( two parties) checked in . No registration card to sign. The SL manager who was wearing a pair of shorts said it is OK and gave a key to our chalets. They only take US dollars . Funny set up. There are plenty of other hotels in Tangalle area. As usual the staff are smiling even though they do not know the problems of the hotel.

Dette hotellet har nok vært ganske fint en gang, men nå bærer det preg av veldig dårlig vedlikehold.
Det er fint plassert ved en nydelig strand der man kunne tilbringe dagene for å slippe unna det skitne bassengområdet. Mye bølger kan være ukomfortabelt for noen, men slik er det jo mange steder i Sri Lanka.
Det eneste vi spiste av mat her var frokosten som var svært lite delikat (buffet). De kunne ved enkle grep gjort det bedre, men man fikk inntrykk av at maten ikke var fersk. Heller ikke spesielt deilig med maur rundt sukkerskålen og annet.
Til lunsj må du reise til Tangalle hvis du ikke vil spise hotellmaten, da det kun er en liten lokal fisker-restaurant på stranden som lager mat til middag hvis du forespør min. 2timer i forkant. Her kunne man forøvrig spise et herlig fiskemåltid!
Det at det knapt var andre gjester her gjorde ikke opplevelsen noe bedre siden hotellområdet er stort. Litt ensomt.
Varierende serviceinnstilling på personalet, men helt ok
Overrasket over at dette hotellet har fått så mange andre positive kommentarer. Jeg kommer ikke tilbake hit..
Incredible location

Exceptionnal site, very calm with a private crazy beach and beautiful garden. The swimming pool on the top is huge, clean and perfect for kids. Staff is friendly : they arranged one waterslide for our kids.
Villas with sea view (incredible !) are large. The place could merit some reparations but the comfort is largely sufficient. Moreover reparations would need one couple of million euros and for sure the price would be much more expensive.

Отдыхали в марте 2013 в Шале №15. Мне отель очень понравился. Понравилось то разнообразие зелени, цветов и красок, которого я не увидела в других отелях Ланки. В номерах чисто, комфортно, убирают ежедневно, много живности вокруг. Под конец не обращали внимание на повсюду снующих бурундуков и геконов. Вараны так же были частыми гостями территории возле нашего шале. Пару раз заходили обезьяны. О разнообразии птиц вообще молчу. Что не радовало, так это кухня. Езжу обычно не поесть, но уж очень люблю азиатскую кухню. В этом отеле кормят паршивенько))
Снорклин на пляжах такой-себе. Море чаще всего штормит. Огромное количество морских ежей. Поцарапала ноги о кораллы)
Что хотелось бы написать не об отеле: бич бои, от которых никуда не деться на пляже. Будьте аккуратны, так как далеко не все порядочные. Мы остановились на Руа. Парень неплохой, хоть с английским у него и сложности. Прайс на различные экскурсии у него был средним, но он вел себя всегда порядочно. Ездили с ним на китов - 50 долларов с человека (трансфер, корабль и на обратной дороги посещение будда темпл и вкусной кафешки недалеко от отеля с купанием на шикарном пляже без волн и кораллов). Яла-сафари стоило нам 40 долларов с человека (трансфер, аренда джипа, вход и опять же посещение кафешки другой уже, и шопинг вблизи ялы). Ездили с ним же еще в пару мест, но там сложно подсчитать стоимость. Его там все знают, поэтому найти не составит труда. Кроме того, хочу написать о всеми рекламированном Сурене. Парень говорит по русски, сносный английский. Вроде б все отлично, пару раз заказывали у него лобстеров и креветок - не впечатлило и дорого.
В целом, что касается отеля - все прекрасно, досуг делает каждый сам себе индивидуально. Если б ехала повторно, останавливалась там же.
И хочется предупредить о солнце: такого адски жаркого солнца нигде не чувствовала. Большинство наших соотечественников уезжали с Ланки в ожогах сиреневого цвета. Берегите себя!:)

We found the hotel by pure chance. We planed to stay only one night but as soon as we saw our chalet (n^6) with the sea view we didn't want to leave !
The beach is amazing and the pool with sea water was perfect for our 2 kids.
Everybody was very kind with us. A special thanks to the manager who really took care of us

We stayed here in April for 10 days and it was an amazing holiday. The setting is idyllic, the beaches are perfect, our villa directly overlooked the sea - the views are breathtaking! As for the "Italian manager", we actually found him very friendly and helpful! During my stay I heard that some guests complained that there standard rooms were bad - but our bungalow was all we needed!))

Site exceptionnel avec des jardins magnifiques et une belle plage déserte mais dangéreuse pour les enfants. Les chalets sont grands.La vue est extra et très reposant.
Les moins: le prix qui est élevé pour les prestations. Ne pensez même pas manger à l'hôtel: $10 pour un médiocre plat de pâtes à la tomate! et un buffet du soir très decevant pour $15. Nous avons acheté pour faire picnic sur la terrasse du chalet!
Nous avons eu une infestation de puces dans notre lit!
Pas de vrai facture à la fin et un taux de change halucinant jamais appliqué ailleurs au Sri Lanka du coup on a payé 5000 rupees de plus que prévu ( 30 euros quand même!!)
Total froideur du patron italien, et promesse non tenue de faire marcher le toboggan d'eau.
A Stain on Sri Lanka

I literally don't know what to say about this place. We arrived having booked a Sea View Villa. Our villa did certainly not have a 'sea view' and was incredibly dated. The toilet leaked all night all over the bathroom, and the food at the restaurant was almost inedible. We complained to the Sri Lankan 'manager', and he admitted that all sea view villas were booked and he offered us free dinner and drinks to compensate. As we had a very short trip in SL, we were willing to pay more for quality accommodation, and this certainly wasn't it. After finding out the manager was in fact Italian, we asked for him. He was out surfing! This was one of a number of bare face lies the SL manager said to us. The Italian manager was never there when needed, and actually sat down in his board shorts to eat dinner when all the guests were eating in the restaurant! I was incredibly thirsty in the night and came to find some water at reception. There was no staff anywhere so had to do without. The grounds are beautiful and the beach stunning. What the place needs is ALOT of money spending on it, and an actual manager. 2-3 star hotel calling itself a 5 star establishment. Awful.
